Heaven's Gate Alpacas began in the summer of 2007.  After visiting a few local alpaca farms in our area, we began looking towards alpacas to raise because of their calm, gentle nature.  After a lot of praying and seeking God's direction for our farm, alpacas just seemed to be just what we were looking for.  So by the end of September 2007, we were able to start our own farm.  We started out with 3 females, 2 male crias, and a male gelding. 

Why the name Heaven's Gate you may ask?  We chose this name to keep with our Christian faith and in that also giving God the glory for these beautiful animals he has given to us.  They aren't just farm animals or a business to us.  They are such a joy to watch and care for.  Each alpaca has its own personality and demeanor.  Some a little more people friendly, others a little more shy.

  The farm is maintained, and the animals are cared for by Leonard and Bonnie Klingman (and their kids help out when they can).  It is located outside of the Mansfield/Wellsboro area in a beautiful rural area.  Actual adress is 159 Wormer Hill Road, Westfield, PA 16950.
